As you may be aware, legislation passed in 2020 entitled “Colorado Building Families Act,” and was set to go into effect January 2022. One intention of this legislative act was to require insurance companies to provide infertility testing and treatment coverage. We recently received information that the implementation of this act is in jeopardy for 2022 due to details of the language included in the Act and concerns for how it would be affected by the Affordable Care Act. Current information indicates the Act may warrant revision which could cause delay of effective date to July 2022 or possibly even into 2023.
